Hello beautiful crafty peeps, hope you are all having a fabulous week. So I dont know if you guys know but I love making bird houses. I have a little village of them in different colors and themes. I just finished the new house in my little village.
I created this little mixed media bird house out of thick chipboard, then covered the complete outside with Plaster strips then embellished it with goodies from my favorite one stop shop, Miriam's Crafting Supplies - retail location.
Supplies from Miriam's shop
- I used Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante paper collection to cover the inside of my house. The out side part is a combination of chipboard and plaster.
- Tim Holtz dark brown Distress pain to give the house a grungy distressed look
- Small square feet which I did not use as feet but as embellishments to cover the roof of my little house.
- WOC white flowers
- Metal corners
- Prima square pipe frame
- Prima trinkets
- Metal brads for the centers of my gears
- Metal gears and cogs
- Metal flowers
- Small birds nest charm
- Sead beads
- Different Metal filigrees
- Dylucions color spray in black
- Tim Holtz color sprays in shades of turquoise, brown, purple, and green (sorry guys I don't remember the exact color names)
Even the ATG tape gun, tape, adhesive, and plaster I used are from the shop.
