Hello Everyone,
I am sharing a deep dive experiment into this new to me product, Rockwell 3d Oilac paints to use in mixed media. What kinds of pens and pencils will layer over this water mixable oil paint? Will it stick to the art principle of "fat over lean" wear you cannot layer "leaner" media over an oil product? These are the questions I intend to explore with a variety of my supplies from my stash.
Specifically I will try to layer over a thin wash, thick wash and then over paintings treated with clear gesso, gel medium, and white gesso and see what happens.
I'm comparing results using colored pencils, pitt markers, wax pastels, water soluble wax pastels, fine liners and acrylic markers also.
