Hello my crafty friends. Please meet my elemental art doll "Precious metal". She stands at 18*12 inches tall.
So many filigrees, gears and metal embellishments went into creating this pcs of art. I wanted to give her a world of precious metals yet not look to industrial or steampunkish.
For the background I used several layers of tissue paper and medium gel, I started to adhere some of the embellishments and one good layer of Finnabairs black gesso, I then randomly applied gold paint throughout the entire surface. With a mixture of Finnsbairs mica powders in bronze and Cooper and gel medium and started to give the background pops of color. I also used TH turquoise acrylic paint. Once dry I started to adhere more metal filigrees and crystals along with my art doll and her headdress. I gave her an ocean of metal, gold, and Finnabairs gold glitter. I used the medium gel and mica powders to blend everything in and gave the entire art pcs a sprinkle of gold glitter.
