Actor, writer, painter, a career on stage and screen, including the classic roles of Hamlet, Iago to James Earl Jones's Othello, Leontes, Petruchio, and others in 20 of Shakespeare's 36 plays, Jason in Medea, Agamemnon in Iphigenia with Irene Papas, Tyrone in Long Day's Journey into Night, Jamie in Moon for the Misbegotten, The Ape in The Hairy Ape; a broad range of roles across such feature films as Monte Walsh, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Magnum Force, Lethal Weapon, Grosse Pointe Blank, Liar-Liar; and hundreds of television appearances in every genre, in addition to starring roles in two hit series: 107 episodes as Burke Devlin in the cult and occult Dark Shadows and 119 episodes as Edward Montgomery in Dharma & Greg.
