Dean Sarkis invites you to a virtual town hall from April 27, 2023, to learn more about the planning and progress made toward the renovation of the Metropolitan Warehouse. This landmark building will be the new hub of design at MIT and home of the Department of Architecture and other units in the School of Architecture + Planning, including the Morningside Academy for Design. You will hear from SA+P leadership and the architects, who will discuss the unique challenges this project presents, the operational status of the work since construction started in June 2022, and our vision for this historic building at the heart of MIT’s campus.
