In this video, I connected my Commodore 1571 disk drive #8 to my MiSTer FPGA via the external IEC adapter. I loaded the C64 core and used Maverick to copy Alpharay.d64 (40 tracks) to a 5 1/4 disk for the Commodore Plus/4 computer. I loaded the Alpharay disk from my 1571 disk drive on the MiSTer Commodore Plus/4 core.

Ive had good luck using RE-AOL16 on MiSTer A0486 Win3.11, Win95, WinMe, and NT4.

This was my first time playing the game in co-op mode.

2-Player Mode
As an added bonus you can now play Galaga in two-player co-op mode. Work together to clear the waves while competing for the best score. You have just three lives between you, however, the final life can only be lost by the player who has the lowest score at the time.
NTSC
The game is NTSC-compatible, however, there may be more flickering in later levels than on a PAL system by virtue of having significantly fewer CPU cycles per frame.
Pause/Quit
Press restore to pause during play, then restore to unpause or fire to quit to the menu.
Known issues/limitations
Occasional mirroring of sprites into the bottom or top border for a frame or two - unavoidable consequence of displaying sprites in the borders.
Slight flicker during the first few seconds of the first wave. £25 bounty for anyone who can figure that one out.....
Occasional flicker when a lot of enemies/bombs are clustered in a row is unavoidable.
Sometimes part of an enemy in formation, or a bullet, maybe left on the screen. This is purely cosmetic and Ill continue to work to track the issue down.
2nd player bullet sometimes gets out of sync with the ship.

On MISTER set the joystick to Atari. The OS settings are just what I last tested. Real hardware has configurable IO so you can use any input device, Ive set up the joystick interface with MiSTER to be the Atari protocol. In the OS you can type joy0 1 or joy1 1 to change back from Megadrive to normal. Typing joytest will show a diagnostic

DIR - List current directory

PAPER - Set the background colour
INK - Set the foreground color
VOL [x:] - Set the current SD volume to x - first volume is A so command would be VOL A:
JOY0 - Set joystick mode for joystick 0 - 1 = normal, 2 - 3 button Megadrive controller
JOY1 - Set joystick mode for joystick 1 - 1 = normal, 2 - 3 button megadrive controller
