Waterflame | Mist - Melancholic Ambient Atmosphere @WaterflameMusic | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated 1 day ago
This music was created in a few hours to submit to a challenge / Sync Brief that had a theme of sad and melancholic music. It's more on the ambient/atmospheric side compared to what I usually do. I used some video footage again to convey the more sad/depressing mood; This track makes me feel like I am deep in an unknown forest at the break of dawn. But it also has that trailer music / cinematic movie feeling more so than what I usually do. It kind of calls back to some of my very early more unknown stuff like "Grey Morning" and "Dark Seaside". I also tried something different with the video visuals this time, every line is a different instrument, ranging from top to bottom in order of frequency, Bass at the bottom, high instruments at the top etc.

The track started out more positive and relaxed originally, to an actual complete state. So, I included the original major version as well in the EP! Its free to download on bandcamp,

Thanks to pftq for helping me find the "sad" chords on this one, as originally I couldn't help writing this in major as usual lol.

Another collab with pftq, inspired by Bosas music from Newgrounds (whatever genre that is), and later on some influence from starcrafts game music came into play. The name comes from trying to emulate one of the songs categorized under bluegrass but ending up not really being bluegrass - hence green(est) grass. Its more uplifting, instrumental pop/rock/orchestral/celtic music - something! Therere scottish/irish bagpipes, fiddles, banjos, and everything! Either way, enjoy :D
