After generations of growing a specific way, Trentis was ready to try something new. He chose to work with Kiss the Ground and AEA to grow regenerative cotton in collaboration with the premium denim label, Citizens of Humanity – and he couldn’t be happier. Trentis Allen is a third-generation cotton grower in Mississippi. His grandfather started farming in his 60s and then passed the farm down to Trentis' father and Trentis has recently taken over the operation – honoring his family heritage and adopting regenerative agriculture principles and practices. Now partnered with world-renowned brands, Trentis and growers just like him will be providing their sustainable cotton to millions around the world.

Just after his first year, Trentis is seeing the benefits of regenerative agriculture. By focusing on plant nutrition and soil health, he is seeing less insect pressure, an overall increase in plant health, and an increase in boll count.

Citizen of Humanity Group first embarked on its regenerative agriculture journey early in 2022 after being inspired by the Kiss the Ground film (#kissthegroundmovie).

Together with Advancing Eco Agriculture, Citizens of Humanity Group has officially joined forces with Kiss the Ground on a program to work directly with farmers in the United States and abroad supporting their growth, education, and adoption along the continuum of regenerative agriculture.

The partnership aims to increase awareness of the many benefits regenerative agriculture provides - for farmers, brands, consumers, and everybody in between. The initiative will leverage AEA’s leading practices, products, and services to support farmers in the program to grow regenerative cotton and reap the benefits of healthier soils with year-after-year improvements.
