In this part, we take a break before starting Chapter 2 and head out into Sector 8. Here we meet fans of the 1st Class members of SOLDIER and join fan clubs for Angeal and Genesis (we'll have to wait until later for Sephiroth). We then head to Loveless Avenue and talk to the Infantry Captain here to unlock a new set of missions. Once done, we return to the Shinra Building, take an experimental potion and head to the Materia Room. Upon speaking with the Scientists, we are requested to harvest Mako Stones and receive new missions that lead to them. We then head to the Save Point and complete various missions to gather the Mako Stones for new rare Materia, like Gravity, and prepare for some rougher training.

Additional Info

- The Fan Clubs work more as an Achievement type reward. After joining them, we'll receive mail from them after specific events in the story unfold. We've already joined Angeal's Fan Club and both of Genesis' Fan Clubs. We can join Sephiroth's later on and a 5th Club will open even later than that.

- Speaking with the Employee at the entrance to the Shinra Building will allow us to drink a potion for free. This potion adds an Auto-Life Buff to us in battle, allowing us to die once and be revived without punishment. We can return and use this as often as we want, so don't forget!

- There are 300 Missions in the game. Many are unlocked by completing their prior versions, but some are only unlocked by talking to specific characters, such as the Captain on Loveless Avenue, or the Materia Room Scientist. NOTE: A handful are missable too!

- When in a mission, running down the main path will likely get us into quite a few unnecessary battles with enemies that are likely tougher than us, or can one-shot us with spells like Blizzara. It is recommended to hug the walls of the map to avoid these encounters. Simply locate and obtain the Chests, then find the Boss and defeat it to complete the Mission.
