Mission: Impossible is a 3D third-person action game released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64. Loosely based on the film of the same name โ released two years earlier and starring Tom Cruise โ the game reused the espionage premise and protagonist Ethan Hunt, but built an entirely original plot of its own, with no obligation to recreate the movie's events scene-for-scene.
