When a hunter vanishes without a trace, speculation as to what could have happened is wide-ranging. Hunters are armed individuals that usually have some knowledge of outdoor survival. These factors tend to give hunters a better chance of living through a situation where they are lost, as opposed to the typical day hiker who might go missing in a park. However, the cases presented here will show that a firearm and experience are no match for the wilderness and the seemingly unexplainable forces that reside therein.
