Originally released in Spring 2022 in Japan and August 25th, 2022 in North America and Europe, it's the video game version of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and well, it's a bullet-hell shoot 'em up inspired by the likes of CAVE and Castle of Shikigami. From the same studio that brought you Macross: Shooting Insight (2024).
Now, would've thought the anime/manga series Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid would have a shoot 'em up made out it? This is not something I'd expect in a million years, but I welcome it nontheless. Despite not being interested in checking out the anime or reading the manga, I have it's video game counterpart on the Playstation 4. Also on the Nintendo Switch and probably Steam too. After finding out this game was a bullet hell of all things, I wanted to check this game out. I bought this game almost a month ago on Amazon along with another bottle of the Buldak hot sauce, you know, those Buldak noodles in a black package which I often have with bacon, a cut up sausage stick and small blocks of cheese. Good stuff. Getting off topic though. In this game you you control three different characters, Dragon Maid Tohru, her daughter Kana and Elma traversing six different levels. (And no, not Elmo from Sesame Street. Elma.) I played on easy and traversed through 4 levels. I didn't want to start over in this playthrough. This game did not let me down and I daresay a hidden gem on the PS4. I think you should check this game out. I think you will like this one. (That includes fans of bullet hells.)
