Note: I haven't seen any of the other videos yet....
Story:
While working in her family's bookshop, Thumbelina gets a letter informing her that she has been chosen to into the contest where she could win to be the Emperor's wife, her father gives her his full support and knows she'll do her best.
She travels to the Plaza where she sees a dog trying to get her attention, the dog seems familiar to her and when the dog runs over to it's owner Lina realizes why she recognizes the dog, he belongs to her childhood friend, Esmeralda who disappeared. She recognizes Lina too and they have a catch up where Esmeralda explains the reason she disappeared was because her parents died and she was adopted.
While Lina and Esme are talking Holli approaches and introduces herself.
Lina and Esme make their way up to the palace where Lina meets Mei.
A guard tells Lina to head down the corridor where she meets two servants who are there to take her measurements. Lina isn't comfortable with this.
Next Lina meets the Royal Matchmaker who asks her what she can offer the Emperor, Lina doesn't know, but eventually settles with 'Love and support'. When she gives her answer the Matchmaker tells her to head over to the throne room where she'll meet Kuzco.
Lina can't help herself and peeks into the room where the girl she met before, Holli is having her 10 minutes with the Emperor where she kisses him on the cheek.
Eventually it's Lina's turn to meet Kuzco. He asks what she likes and she can't help but talk about a book she had read where a the Princes runs up to the Princess's room and wakes her up from her sleep curse with true love's kiss. Kuzco says that that doesn't sound like something he's like but Lina starts explaining just before hand the Prince had to fight off a dragon to get to her, and just when Lina was getting to the good part a guard interrupts and says Lina's time was up.
Finally Lina makes her way to her room, she see's that Esme is in the room next door, along with Mei. Meanwhile in Lina's room two girls, Charlotte and Nani (her roommates) are already there.
