"My momma left me when I was very little. I remember when I was 5, I was actually molested, and at that age you don’t even know what to do. You don’t know if it’s right or wrong or if you should tell somebody.
When I got married that became an issue too because I don’t want him to touch me. I don’t want a relationship with him. And it was frustrating. You’re a married couple; you’re supposed to have sex, right?
I would cry all the time, and I remember one time saying, “God, why does sex have to exist?” Like, I hate this.
Two years after, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. His bladder was taken off and his prostate. The doctor said, “This is it for you as a man. You won’t have sex.” And I was like, “Oh my God, that’s what I said one time,” so I regret those words, and I did ask God to forgive me for that. And he’s good. Everything went back to normal after 5 years. So I’m like, “OK, I enjoy it now.”
