[Story]
Ladybug had enough of Cat Noir flirting after her breakup with Adrien. He feels neglected by Marinette afters he broke up with him, and by Ladybug... so he gives up his Miraculous. Alya denounces her Miraculous as she doesn't want to keep up with Marinette's lies anymore, but she promised to still be there for her. Marinette has to use the Miraculous to fight crime alone. The Kwamis, specifically Trixx, goes out to find a new holder to help Marinette.
Lila is chosen as Trixx does not know of her past. She silences Trixx as she is also Chrysalis. She fights her own Akumas to gain Ladybug's trust, suspecting she is Marinette. She also constantly tries to Akumatize Marinette, trying to make her confess her identity.
Marinette eventually finds out Lila is both Volpina and Chrysalis. Lila finds out Marinette is Ladybug/LadyNoire and they become enemies again, sending Marinette into a spiral.
Marinette sometimes lets herself get Akumatized after she finds out Volpina's identity, just so she can talk with Lila.
