Afternoons in the Vintage King Tech Shop 🔩 always bring surprises—like this rare consecutive pair of M 269s (✨#9059 and #9061✨), a unique variant of the Neumann U 67. The historic brand manufactured these large diaphragm tube condenser microphones from around 1962 to 1973.
Here’s how the M 269 differs from the U 67:
🔹 The M 269 features an AC701 tube instead of the EF86.
🔹 The Omni and Figure 8 positions were replaced with two positions labeled “F.” Both positions function the same and allow the pattern to be controlled via the power supply.
🔹 RF shielding was added to the M 269’s plug.
