In this video, Greg and I review the Minolta SR-T 303b, Minolta's last purely mechanical single-lens reflex camera which is considered the pinnacle of the SR-T series. The camera was released in 1975 and produced until 1980. While the SR-T 303b features a mechanical shutter, it also comes with a built-in light meter which can be switched on at the bottom of the camera. The meter offers Minolta's CLC (Contrast Light Compensation), meaning that the lower part of an image is metered with twice the sensitivity than the upper part in order to avoid underexposure due to a bright sky, for instance.
We took the camera out on a photowalk shooting Greg's very last roll of Agfa Precisia 100 which has recently been discontinued. Furthermore, we tested Adox Silvermax in combination with the fitting developer and received incredible sharp and beautiful results.
