Starting August 1, scammers will lose a common tool in Minnesota as a new state ban on cryptocurrency kiosks goes into effect.

State commerce and law enforcement officials explain that while these ATM-style machines are harmless on their own, criminals heavily exploit them to convert victim cash into untraceable cryptocurrency instantly. Businesses must disable the kiosks immediately and have until December to physically remove them.
