Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers has received the Key to the City of Lauderhill in Florida.
The honour was presented on Thursday night during the Entrepreneurship Awards hosted by the City of Lauderhill to mark Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
The event celebrated the achievements of entrepreneurs and community members while highlighting the longstanding ties between Trinidad and Tobago and South Florida.
Mayor Denise Grant and the City of Lauderhill were also thanked for recognising the contributions of the Trinidad and Tobago community.
The ceremony comes as Trinidad and Tobago marks 64 years of independence, with nationals in South Florida being recognised for their achievements and contributions.
