A different kind of challenge run: Minimalist 100%
Part 20 - The One-Hit Obliterator
A big plus of the One-Hit Obliterator challenge is, that I don't have to use my own equipment (yaay!). The OHO never degrades or breaks, so there is no risk of "using it up" during any of the fights. The downside is, that I have to get very close to the enemies and even chip damage will kill Link instantly (....yay...)
The Champion Abilities do not work here. You can not zap foes from afar with Urbosa's Fury, shield yourself with Daruk's Protection, get guaranteed bullet time with Revali's Gale or get a second chance with Mipha's Grace - you get hit, you die. Fairies don't work either, so don't bother.
In a playthrough without restrictions, you can totally trivialize the OHO challenge with a bunch of Ancient Arrows and a long-range bow ... simply delete the enemies from afar to win the "challenge". However, this also turns an otherwise interesting quest into a boring pay-to-win scenario. And it does not help with the actual shrines.
The glitch where the completion percentage suddenly dropped by 0.33% has been happening to me in every playthrough so far since I first noticed it. Since it seems to be guarenteed to happen, happens only during this short time and also immediatly fixes itself, I'd wager that it is a coding oversight that makes the counter substract the value of the 4 new shrines temporarily.
Oh and keep in mind that each "map item" is not worth exactly 0.08% but somehing like 0.08134% but the game only displays the last 2 digits. The 4 shrines are worth 0.33% because the counter rounded up once, otherwise it would have been 0.32%
**Additional information:**
* Just to say it again: No, you literally can not heal during that part. If people ask for help during that section or post a funny death animation, then mocking the OP for not healing is neither helpful nor bright, but somehow there is always "that one guy" in the comment section who didn't get the memo.
* The rock formation on top of Mount Hylia is unique and it is literally called FldObj_KingsTomb_A_01 in the game code, so it is not "just a theory".
* The audio desync in some parts is due to the fact that I've not yet quite figured out how to properly record stuff with my new capture card. No idea how to retroactively fix the audio latency in the finished video, but at least I now know how to prevent (most of) it in future videos.
