We are traveling to New York City this December, so I'll be sharing exactly how I pack light for travel in a carry on bag only. No matter if we're travelling for 1 week or 1 month, I always pack in the exact same way, with a carry on bag plus 1 personal item. This way, I only travel with the essentials, I travel with my personal style rather than with outfits, and I often still have room to bring home a souvenir or two.
