Test chainsaw was purchased from Amazon, and it's cost reimbursed by Hychika.
Test woods: mainly English Ash and Holly, with a small amount of Pear and Royal Purple Smokebush (cotinus coggygria). All within a month of felling, or while still growing, i.e. all green)
Main findings:
Easily tackles cross cuts in wet timber (up to 6" tested)
Full charge managed in excess of twenty cross cuts in 4" (average) green Ash
Small chain oil tank capacity (two tanks used in these tests)
I found it possible to operate the saw one-handed, reaching the safety trigger interlock with my thumb. This is convenient, but not particularly safe.
The way I used the saw in this video was based on my previous experience with chainsaws, and is in no way intended as a demonstration of good practice. Don't follow what I do, read and understand the usage and safety instructions that come with your power tools.
