I created a bugpost for the falldamage issue, please upvote to get that fixed asap :)
Some Pro Tips to avoid the damage: If you build the platform like a staircase like i showed then you won't get damage when standing on the top stair.
Jump boost beacons reduce the likelyness of getting damage too because they increase the height you can fall before getting damage!
