The Minecraft Gold Rush Mod adds several new possible uses for gold in Minecraft as well as a new way to find and farm gold. It includes new gold blocks to build with, a new golden carrot which grants you the effects of a golden apple as well as a new golden golem mob which fights monsters for you.
