This is my version of the vanilla 1.17 shulker shell farm using the new mechanics. No chunk loaders or rails required (the shulkers load the chunks for you). If you build this, make sure you build both parts up in the air or teleport proof the 17x17x17 cuboid.
A couple of small changes to make on the overworld side when I made this in survival: Add more than one snow golem into the golem chamber. I added 24. This will help the shulker keep his shell open longer. Also, add buttons in the snow golem chamber. On rare occasions, the shulker can teleport into the golems otherwise and then the farm pauses because no one aggros each other.
This version of the farm is also not impervious to shulker loss. after some extensive testing, the farm produces an average of 53.5 stacks of shulker shells before the shulker dies/teleports without reproducing. I will work on a version 2 that can solve this without having to manually refill the shulker chamber
To do this, you will also need to get a shulker to the overworld and get on top of the nether ceiling. Check out my versions of these processes here:
