Seems like JL ninja'd me :/ Oh well
I did some testing in the latest snapshot and found a way to keep the new wither boss in a contained space. Next thing is, when it gets damaged it will break all the blocks in a 3 by 3 around it. In this way I was able to make a fully automatic cobblestone factory. It produces around 10000 cobblestone an hour which is even more than what you would get branch mining the whole hour!
This design is far from finished though and can be fine tuned to create even more cobblestone, but I thought I'd share the concept so the community can improve on it (if possible)!
