If you're a fan of Minecraft, you might be interested in the recently released game Minecraft Legends. It's an action strategy game set in the Minecraft world, where the player must defend against invading piglins. The game is played in third-person, and you control both your character and a group of troops. You can build structures and spawn different types of mobs to help you in your battles. As you progress, you unlock different resources and upgrades, and you can increase the number of troops you can control.
In terms of the gameplay loop, you'll spend a lot of time gathering resources and fighting piglins, but there's also a story campaign to follow. You're chosen by three entities – Knowledge, Foresight, and Action – to defeat the piglins, and the campaign takes you through a variety of biomes on a giant island. Along the way, you'll meet villagers who will help you with resources and upgrades, but you'll also need to protect them from piglin attacks.
So, is Minecraft Legends worth it? The answer is yes, but there are some caveats. The game is rather simplistic and not very deep, so it might not hold your interest for very long if you're looking for a lot of complexity. Additionally, the game feels a bit raw at the moment, so there are some rough edges and glitches that might frustrate some players.
Overall, Minecraft Legends is a fun addition to the Minecraft universe, especially if you're a fan of strategy games. If you have Xbox Game Pass, it's definitely worth checking out, but if you're not a subscriber, you might want to wait for a sale or more updates before jumping in.
