I started a new vanilla survival world on the Jaycraft server, and the start of my new series "Farms in 3 minutes". My goal is to get the main resources that I need to build my base and other fun stuff as fast and efficiently as possible.
The second project is a cobble (and stone) generator. I didn't follow a specific design, but would assume that this is very similar to many cobble generator designs that have been around for a long time. It is fast enough to produce a double chest of cobble even with stone pickaxes, a faster pickaxe will give you over 3 shulkers full per hour. Using a silk touch pick makes this into a stone generator. I strongly suggest to use a client side mod like Inventory Profiles Next, which will automatically replace your pickaxe once it is done. So you can fill up your inventory with stone pickaxes, fire up your favorite autoclicker to hold down the left and right mouse button (food in the offhand) and take a nice long break, after which you will have all the cobble you need.
I also took the time to hunt down a dripstone cave and set up a mini smelter, with lava buckets as fuel source. This allowed me to use stone bricks for my upcoming projects.
