Working RAM in Minecraft! Just an update working on my computer, it can now write data to a file as well as read from an address. As usual no command blocks used :)
I still have to manually select which address to read and write to, also this type of data can be corrupted fairly easily because of a redstone bug with serial repeaters. So I may have to find an alternate way of doing it.

Who needs 100s of redstone wires when you can just use 1 :)
Another key component for my word processor, this keyboard sends a serial 8 bit signal down 1 wire where it is decoded into a letter/number/symbol and then displayed on screen.

Just a quick video playing around with sending a serial signal through instant wire.
The fastest bitrate I could manage was 3 ticks per signal. Also had a go using 0 tick pulses, but still could only manage a a pulse every 3 ticks. If anyone knows how to create a faster cycle then 3 ticks let me know :)

Computer word processor in Minecraft! (No Command Blocks used) After almost 2 years working on this redstone word processor I finally have it finished! Well almost...
Word processor that can load files from memory. Has uppercase, lowercase, numbers & symbols. Not the fastest of word processors but every single bit of data comes through a single line of redstone. Ive also got plans to turn this into a working computer with an ALU and CPU.
5x10, 50 character limit monitor using 16 segment display. There are 7.357x10^92 different combinations the screen can show, all of which can be controlled from 1 line.
Working on adding RAM so that files can also be saved. Also need to add more symbols and well as command functions instead of using /1 to load file 1. Ill make it ctrl L 1 and ctrl n for new file and so on.

A fairly simple & easily expandable pistonless Multiplexer/MUX design.
Also showing how a MUX can be used to create any logic gate by toggling the side inputs.
I only showed a few gates and functions the 4 to 1 MUX could do, but here is the full list:

Ever wanted to randomly generate any number between 0 and 10 billion in vanilla Minecraft? No... Oh well, i made it anyway ;)
Technically its between 0 inclusive and 9,999,999,999 but that takes too long to write. This could have been a lot smaller and faster using 7 segment displays, but this was also a test for my word processor memory and shift register. Everything is working well, just need to place the register in the middle next time for less delay.

This contraption converts analog (signal strength) into 4 bit binary. It also keeps the pulse duration length of the input. This is part of something bigger that im working on. Using a combination of pulse duration and signal strength im attempting to create a high bit rate serial wire.
