Hi all! Today's video is about an MCEdit filter I wrote that can turn any minecraft wool pixel art into a customized chat message. The santa example was possible by adjusting the options file a little and hacking the chatbox to enable it for bigger messages. Other than that all other examples are perfectly working on a non-modified options file ;)
Some tips and tricks when using the filter:
- You have to be facing direction 1 when building the art!
- ONLY use wool for the pixel art, anything else will show up as a white square.
- When inputting text you can insert an empty line by typing "/n" and use color codes in the same manner as on this page: wiki.ess3.net/mc
- Select who you want to send the message to (@a, @p, @r) and in the next box you can specify what comes behind those. So for instance selecting @a and typing [x=10,y=64,z=10,r=5] will result in "@a[x=10,y=64,z=10,r=5]"
