MusicalWolfe | Minecraft - Beta 1.4 Complete Guide (Wolf-Cookie Update) @MusicalWolfe | Uploaded March 2011 | Updated October 2024, 38 minutes ago.
Tutorial on the ins and outs of the 1.4 beta released Mar 31, 2011.
A few extra notes:
You can tame as many wolves as you can find.
You find them in the Forest and Taiga.
You need to feed your wolf raw pork if it gets too hurt.
----- Release Notes From Notch
* Added tameable wolves
* Added cookies
* Sleeping in a bed now resets your spawn position
* New Minecraft logo
* Holding shift while climbing will hang on to the ladder
* Spiders will no longer trample crops
* Lots and lots of infrastructure for Statistics lists and Achievements
While most of the code is written, statistics and achievements won't show up until the next update. We didn't quite have time to finish them this week, and didn't want to delay the update longer.
Last note:
The wolf's name isn't foreign, it's D-O-G, pronounced "Dee-Oh-Gee".
