Using the execute if block command, you can test for a block at a specific coordinate. You can run any command if the block at that location matches the specified block.
Commands used in the video:
execute if block ~ ~1 ~ diamond_block run say hi
execute if block 6548 107 3584 pitcher_plant run setblock 6564 109 3567 redstone_block
execute if block 6527 106 3603 torch run effect @p night_vision 15 0 true
