Welcome to part 5 of the town series. This time we are going to build an fully automated wool farm that works in Java and Bedrock.

This is how it works: The sheep stand on a block of grass, if they eat the grass an observer notices that the grass turns into dirt and triggers a dispenser that dispenses sheers and sheer the sheep. When the sheep eat grass the next time their wool grows again and the observer is triggered again. It's important that the block the sheep stand on is surrounded by other grass blocks and that there is enough light so the grass can regrow.

All you have to do is put in new sheers from time to time. But they last a fair bit. You can use dye to switch colours any time you want.

The wool is transported video hoppers and an item elevator. Under the roof the wool is sorted and put into chests in the shop. One chest for each colour.
