This is an easy to build, fast, cheap multi-item sorter for Minecraft 1.16 using the new redstone mechanics. It takes advantage of target blocks to minimize the distance between the dropper towers and the hopper towers reducing the amount of iron needed and time items spend in hoppers.
Also it is very simple to build, so much in fact I've also included a tutorial on taking a mix of loaded shulker boxes and items that separates shulkers for unloading to make feeding the item sorter even easier.
As always, I'm including a link to Gnembon's multi-item sorter video as I have used both the dropper towers and the clocks from his design. I encourage viewers to also watch his video, Gnembon's design fits more chest locations along the front than mine, but mine is cheaper to build and I expect (but haven't tested) will sort items faster. I haven't compared lag though. The reduced number of hoppers in my design should help, but the increased use of redstone powder for the signal lines may work against it.
