This video showcases a clock using a minecart and a detector rail. The speed can be varied quite easily, and does not SEEM to utilize any glitches. There is a glitch involved when removing the minecart, but the minecart is MEANT to remain in the first place.

This clock can also be stopped using a lever. Hooking it up to a T Flip Flop allows me to detect when my tower of gravel has reached the top, shutting off the clock.

This clock is not meant to be a solution to anything. It's huge, clunky, and overall a big mess. There are likely other, faster clocks out there, but I made this one on a whim. The only toggle-able 1-clock I've found hardly ever worked as intended. This minecart clock is highly reliable, but isn't as speed as a 1-clock. I'll mess around with it until it works as a 1-clock.
