We believe this is the Northeast Estelle Mine Tunnel in North Georgia. there are 5 more tunnels back to back on a hiking trail very close to here. those tunnels can be seen at this link: youtube.com/watch?v=KeaTzFU4F2A&t=39s
This tunnel was very long and pitch black. The roof seemed very unstable like it was falling in sheets. The tunnel was used to transport iron ore carts by rail through the mountain back around 1900. an iron mine that supplied ore for these carts to transport can be viewed here at this link: youtube.com/watch?v=X6VrgjJ0H6Q
