This is a brief description of a formal mindfulness practice involving the most evidence-based method of conscious breathing. Breathing is an automatic process that, with training, can be tweaked to enhance health and wellbeing. Simply, it involves a long slow exhalation until we reach a still point, followed by a shorter inhalation, all of which is controlled by the diaphragm.
