As soon as we landed here in New Zealand I set to work on one final section of Minas Tirith, arguable the most important in the entire diorama, the outer gates, and the inner courtyard. This layout was absolutely intense and I challenged myself to build the ultimate hybrid of screen accuracy and playability, referencing the original sets built out in a quarry in Wellington and the massive bigature made by Weta Workshop in the late 90βs and even drove out to the filming location for mountains of Gondor to get truly inspired to build the greatest board Iβd made to date and the ultimate conclusion to the epic Zorpazorp Minas Tirith crafting journey.
