I am so excited to finally release what I've been working on for the past few years with my incredible partners at Soundiron! Everything you hear in this song was written by me, but created entirely out of my new virtual instrument library!

After years of utilizing my voice as an instrument within my own work, I was inspired to create a virtual instrument that everyone could potentially create with. My original concept of “Light and Shadow” began with my desire to express the creative range within my own art, and, on a larger scale, the emotional range we all possess as human beings. While my breathy, ethereal tone can be used to create serene and angelic sounds, with the right manipulation it can also become haunting, melancholy, and even scary. In addition to the hundreds of vocal samples and phrases in this library, I've created dozens of ambient pads and drones, all hand-crafted from my own voice. Utilizing time-stretching, manipulation, and heavy processing, each drone is a compliment to the overall otherworldly aesthetic of this library. While retaining my unique sound and ethereal quality, the versatility of this library gives anyone the ability to add depth and diversity to their music, whether it be Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Horror, New Age, Classical, Electronic Music, Ambient, or Hip Hop. Whatever the project, I believe Light and Shadow’s sounds have the potential to bring life, depth, and a bit of magic to whatever you want to create.
