Mimbanese were one of many species found on the planet Mimban. They lived underground and developed large eyes that gave them excellent vision, especially in low light. War came to their forested planet during the Clone Wars when the Confederacy of Independent Systems invaded to take a valuable mineral called hyperbaride. Clone troopers came to help train and fight alongside the Mimbanese liberation movement. From that point on, the once green planet became an endless, muddy battlefield. When the Clone Wars came to an end, the Republic troops who once aided the Mimbanese became an occupying force, and the fighting continued, similar to what happened after the Siege of Mandalore. The Mimbanese continued to fight their oppressors well into the reign of the Empire. #starwars
