This dive is basically in a huge US Army dump yard.
After the Second World War the US Army did not want to take the trucks, guns and supplies back to the US. When America left the military base after the war, the remaining goods—everything from weaponry to bottles of Coca-Cola was offered to the French who did not want to buy them for a million dollars, or so the story goes.The US Army decided to then dump all the equipment into the sea so nobody could use this for free. This dump yard slowly turned into a dive yard. From 15 to 30 meters depth you can find most of the remains along a few hundred meters of coastline.
Definitely a worthwhile trip to see this huge garbage dump created by political spite!
