Mt Adams is the second highest peak in the Northeast and sits just two peaks away to the highest peak, Mt. Washington, in the Presidential Range.
I drove up there a few nights ago to capture the Milky Way as it passed behind the peak of the mountain. This night was also the peak of the Perseid Meteor showers, and if you look close you'll see a long meteor show up (right side of screen at about the 4.5 second mark). It's only in one frame, so if you blink you'll miss it. :-)
Lightning was closing it from the SW, W, and North - so the night was cut short by clouds, but the adventure still worth chasing. We drove 2.5 hours, shot for about 2.5 hours, and then drove another 2.5 hours home.
