What?! No Dinosaurs?! What a hoax! Unsubscribed!!
Relax, this isn't replacing dinosaur/animal animation, it's just an assignment I had to do for class. I had to take some video footage, then modify it with animation. So what I decided to do was to place a bunch of cardboard boxes on my livingroom, filmed them with my phone, then I took that footage to TVPaint, rotoscoped the boxes like they were buildings, then I animated Miles Morales's Spiderman (with his Across the Spiderverse suit) to see how they'd interact.
I'm very happy with the result! And it's pretty meaningful for the development of my skills, hence why I'm sharing it on my channel. I've been struggling to do dynamic shots with camera movements like this for a long time, and this is a pretty cool way of solving that issue. It's tricky and requires a lot of planning, but it's one step closer to mastering animation of characters on moving backgrounds. Just imagine what I'll be able to do when I put this into practice for dinosaurs! (... Spider rex/raptor anyone?!).
Anyway, more dinosaur animation is coming, so look forward to that!
