Boston Mayor Michelle Wu joins the Boston Housing Authority, The Community Builders, and the Mildred C. Hailey Tenant Organization to celebrate the completion of the first two buildings in the development at Mildred C. Hailey Apartments in Jamaica Plain.
The first phase of the redevelopment includes the creation of Lamartine Street to increase neighborhood connectivity, 223 units of affordable and moderate income housing at 2 and 6 Lamartine Street, and the new Anna Mae Cole Community Center. The full redevelopment will include over 600 units of affordable and moderate income housing, including the preservation of 253 units of deeply affordable housing.
The Mayor also makes an exciting announcement about workforce development.
