Behind The Mikros Magic - Crafting Explosive FX in TMNT Mutant Mayhem

Starting with 2D layouts in Toon Boom Harmony, they developed effects like fire, smoke, and water splashes, integrating them seamlessly into 3D environments. Houdini and Arnold were used for destruction effects and final rendering.

This hybrid approach allowed for flexibility, collaboration with art direction, and a playful aesthetic resembling a teenager's sketchbook.
