Cathy (and Hello Kitty) creators Sanrio and Miffy creators Mercis were in a little legal battle because of their rabbit characters looking so similar to each other. They were both suing each other at the same time, but then decided to drop the case (because it was stupid) and donate $220,000 each to Japanese earthquake relief (how nice!).
What they didn't know was that BOTH of them have been infringing on my great great grandpa's intellectual property... CAFFY.
