The defendant responsible for shooting and seriously injuring two Mifflin Township Police Officers on May 28, 2025, Daveonte Dixon, was sentenced Monday to a total of 78 years in prison at minimum.

The sentencing follows an incident in which two Mifflin Township Police Officers were shot while protecting the community. Both officers survived but continue to experience significant and lasting effects from their injuries.
