I am Bek (they/them) and these are some of my thoughts on Dear Evan Hansen as a musical and as a book. I discuss some of the differences between the two, what I liked about each, and what I thought was missing. I may have been a little harsh about the plot (I have a hard time with too much second hand embarrassment at other peoples decisions), but I still stand by it.
