This is a rare amusement machine with the classic pitch & bat pinball game. Built in 1972, Midway (before Bally/Midway joined together) tried to do something innovative and unique. One of the many features included a 12 volt general illumination and 12 volt feature lighting, a motorized scoring system with reversible reset function, "magic" targets or metallic sensors that sense the ball whizzing by and award points and an 8-track switchable playback system. The audio amplifier board had a sound generator hooked up to the magic sensor board to ping a sound when the player succeeded shooting the ball over its one of 4 sensors when the lights are blinking.
Unfortunately this machine was stripped of its 8-track player unit, its tape cartridge and sound amplifier board. Their wires and connectors were left dangling in their respective places.
