The last Midnight Club game in the series, and in my opinion, the best game in the series, and it's coming from someone that absolutely adored Midnight Club 3 as a kid. Revisiting the series as an adult changed my perspective and I can see them for both their triumphs and flaws. LA for me just has the most bang for your buck in terms of the variety of activities, car customization, immersive driving coupled with the cockpit view, city detail and size, a story with a number of rivals that you actually interact with, and just a sense of immersion in the world of LA.
As for LA Remix, I definitely wanna check it out down the track. But for now I'm done with the Midnight Club games and wanna move on to other experiences.
Notes:
- Yes, I know you have the mechanic characters in MC3. But you're not racing them, and you don't see each one ever again after you're done in each city. The problem is that the rivals are just glorified generic opponents that help you progress, without any of the personality or charm of Midnight Club 2's rivals, or even 1.
- You beat the game by getting a million dollars, which settles a deal that gives you everything for free. On the other hand, it diminishes the incentive to continue any further since you don't need to worry about money anymore. But on the other, it lets you freely experiment with any ride you want.
